Sperrylite on massive Chalcopyrite Vermilion Mine, Denison Township, Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada 2.53cm x 2.32cm x 1.37cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic old time example of this rare and sought after platinum-bearing species from the TYPE LOCALITY in Canada!!! This specimen consists of a portion of massive golden chalcopyrite that hosts a sharp, brilliant silvery-metallic, cubic crystal of sperrylite prominently perched on top!!! These type locality sperrylite crystals are very rare and usually nearly microscopic when found!!! While there are at least two other crystals on the specimen that are visible with a loupe or scope, this main crystal measures approximately 1mm and is so bright and prominently positioned that it almost looks lit-up in person!!!
