Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible, old time example of this rare, platinum bearing species from the type locality - the Vermillion Mine in Canada!!! This spemen
consists of a large matrix that hosts at least half a dozen sharp sperrylite crystals in addition to larger masses of sperrylite!!! Upon close inspection
there are numerous sharp, complete, cubic crystals of brilliantly metallic sperrylite up to 1mm to be found throughout the specimen!!! There are also a few
significant grains of partially crystalline sperrylite that measure to nearly 4mm!!! This specimen was acquired with a lot of old collection material
that has been sitting dormant
for decades!!! There is a lot going on with this specimen and it is quite possible there are other rare species in association (it may be
well worth checking into)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
