Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of spessartine garnet from Broken Hill!!! This specimen consists of a massive galena matrix that hosts a cluster of brilliantly lustrous spessartine garnet crystals!!! The crystals are complexly modified with bright, glassy faces, marked clarity, and rich reddish brown color!!! The crystals are actually complete and pristine all around!!! The crystals have some highly complex faces as a result of growing in situ with the galena!!! The brilliance of this specimen made it quite difficult to capture with the camera - this specimen is simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
