Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely fantastic collection of gem spessartine garnet from this famous locality!!! That's right - these incredible orange gems are NOT FROM TANZANIA - they are from the famed locality at Marienfluss, Namibia and came from the Charlie Key collection!!! This group includes a partial gem crystal on matrix, two single crystals, and one faceted gemstone!!! The matrix specimen consists of a partial gem crystal prominently perched on a portion of characteristic Marienfluss matrix!!! The slightly larger single crystal is almost entirely complete with and exhibits a complexly modified habit with marked luster and gemmy clarity!!! The other single crystal is absolutely pristine, razor sharp, and complete all around - it has fantastic gemminess and lustrous faces (this one is a killer!)!!! The crystals have absolutely CHOICE INTENSE ORANGE COLOR that is unlike anything else in the mineral kingdom!!! The faceted gemstone is sharp, lustrous, and lively with absolutely SUPERB top color!!! This is truly an incredible, and valuable, grouping!!! These specimens are quite scarce and highly sought after!!!
