Spessartine Garnet

Skardu, Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

2.74cm x 1.82cm x 1.68cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic example of spessartine garnet from Pakistan!!! This specimen consists of a handsome cluster of deep red spessartine garnet crystals!!! The specimen is very nearly a floater, with only a tiny area of matrix partially included within the crystals!!! The specimen has sharp, lustrous faces and is complete all around!!! The crystals have deep, cherry red color and marked clarity that ranges from translucent to gem!!! In person one can see right through the smaller crystals!!! The crystals are aesthetically arranged in a "snowman"-like formation and the specimen displays fantastically in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY NOVEMBER 10th!!!
