Description/Interesting Notes:
An amazing example of spessartine garnet with beryl from Pakistan!!! This specimen consists of a complexly etched beryl crystal that almost appears as though it
has been partially replaced by gem spessartine garnet crystals!!! This specimen is totally complete, pristine, and undamaged all around!!! What is most fascinating
to me is that the faces of all the garnet crystals are parallel to the prism faces of the beryl crystal, and they are all more or less confined to the beryl crystal's border as well!!!
This is quite peculiar and makes it appear that the garnet is replacing the beryl!!! The garnet crystals are gem-clear and have a rich cherry red color - the pictures
hardly capture just how fine they are in person!!! The beryl crystal is complete, with lustrous complexly etched surfaces!!! There is a tiny schorl
tourmaline crystal in association (on the termination of the beryl crystal) and there is a blade of muscovite in association as well!!! This specimen is
simply amazing in person - the pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! This specimen originally came through Herb Obodda some time ago!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 9th!!!
