Sphalerite on Quartz Franklin, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey 7.27cm x 6.04cm x 2.52cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely extraordinary example of sphalerite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts a superb, spinel-twin sphalerite crystal proudly perched in a small vug on matrix!!! The crystal is razor-sharp and highly lustrous!!! There are also a number of other tiny sphalerite crystals on the specimen as well!!! In addition there are numerous quartz crystals and small, highly complex calcite crystals (some of the small ones are gemmy!) As far as Franklin sphalerites go, this is an amazing specimen indeed!!! This specimen retains its original Wintringham Collection label!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! STAY TUNED!!!
