Description/Interesting Notes: A large and impressive old time example of sphalerite from this famous historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a quartz crystal matrix that hosts a large, thick vein of crystalline sphalerite!!! The sphalerite has a deep orange brown color with lots of lively flashes and highlights!!! The sphalerite is glassy and there are a number of good crysal faces present!!! This specimen retains several old labels, including a very old unattributed handwritten one!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Rare, old 19th century material!!!
