Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of titanite var. sphene from Italy!!! This specimen consists of a single gemmy, champagne-colored crystal of sphene in association with a cluster of lively yellow green vesuvianite crystals!!! The sphene crystal is actually doubly terminated and complete!!! The crystal is characteristically twinned with the twin plane sharply defined when viewed on edge!!! The crystal has some unique, highly complex striations on its surface as well!!! This specimen is quite showy in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
