An absolutely incredible example of spinel with pargasite from Tanzania!!! This specimen consists of a large, complex
ruby red spinel crystal that hosts a face partially coated by bright lime green pargasite and several partially included blue apatite
crystals!!! This
specimen was in a small lot of specimens that represented one individual's year of digging - about 30 or so
specimens!!! This was only one of two specimens that had this kind of incredible association that we have
seen here in all of Tucson!!! The spinel has bright glassy luster, intense color, and is in terrific condition!!!
The pargasite exibits some complex, almost skeletal growth under close inspection and has exceptional lime green color!!! The apatite
crystals are lustrous with marked clarity and gorgeous blue color!!! There are also a few thin, silver colored graphite crystals
in association as well!!! This specimen is complete and is quite aesthetic in person!!!
The pairing of intense colors is absolutely stunning in person - these pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
This specimen is complete and displays way better than the pics show!!! This is a very unique specimen indeed!!! You don't
