A most unusual and striking example of blue spinel from Sri Lanka!!! This specimen consists of a complex single crystal
of deep blue cobalt spinel!!! The crystal exhibits a highly complex habit with lustrous faces that show alternating sharp and
curvaceous features!!! The crystal has pristine gem clarity and is clean and gem clear throughout!!! The color is a very lively deep blue
and this is valuable gem rough as well!!! The specimen shows a particularly lively play of light within, partially due to its highly complex habit, glassy
luster, and fine gem clarity!!! This is a true cobalt spinel and came to us through a GIA gemmologist friend who routinely has unusual and rare
gem crystals!!! The color is simply gorgeous in person!!!
