This specimen consists of a sharp, single crystal of blue spinel in association with a small amount of matrix!!! The spinel crystal exhibits a characteristic octahedral habit with some curious modifications!!! The crystal has a gorgeous blue color that is quite unique indeed!!! These rare blue spinels from the Crazy Sphinx Mine are quite characteristic and unlike any other!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
