Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of stannite from this seldom referenced locality!!! This specimen consists of a rich specimen of massive stannite that hosts numerous tiny cavities!!! Upon close inspection, one can see numerous, submillimeter crystals of stannite present in scattered cavities!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope one can see that these crystals are very sharply formed for the species!!! This old time specimen retains old labels from A.E. Foote (label circa 1880-1895) and the Michigan College of Mines (A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum)!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
