A unique old time example of staurolite from North Carolina!!! This specimen consists
of a sharp "cross" twin of staurolite that hosts several small almandine garnets!!!
Usually, the garnets associated with these specimens are reduced to rounded opaque
masses, however these crystals are sharp and gemmy!!! The pics say it all!!! This
specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection - detailed information about both him and the collection are on our
"About Me" page - so be sure to check it out!!!
