Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of polybasite from this famous old time Nevada silver locality!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts numerous incusions of stephanite and polybasite!!! In addition to the material included within the quartz, the specimen hosts some tiny crystals of both species as well!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope one can clearly see some complex groups of bladed polybasite crystals and some tiny, complex stephanite crystals as well!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its original label as well as its original antique, glass-lined specimen box from the museum and an old Ward's label as well!!! This specimen dates to the early 1900's!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
