Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of this very rare silver bearing species from the type locality in the Czech Republic!!! This specimen
hosts a rich showing of rare sternbergite crystals in association with thick wires of native silver!!! The great majority of
darkly colored material on this specimen is comprised of intergrown crystals of sternbergite!!! There are fine, well formed
crystals of sternbergite scattered all over the specimen!!! The crystals are present as well-formed blades that exhibit a variety of
metallic hues and patinas!!! There are fine crystals that measure up to nearly 3mm!!! The native silver wires are thick and chunky and the
thickest one appears to show some possible alteration to sternbergite as well!!! This is a supern example of this very rare species and
retains an old label from Forrest Cureton as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
