Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of stibnite from this famed historic locality!!! This specimen consists of an elongated single crystal of stibnite!!!
The specimen has silvery metallic luster with slightly iridescent blue highlights!!! The crystal's termination appears to be an angular contact but the effect is
still quite handsome as you can see!!! This specimen is quite old and, in addition to its Seaman Museum catalogue number, it has the remnants of
two other previous affixed catalogue numbers!!! This specimen retains an old A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum label that notes the locality as "Iyo, Japan" which is an
antiquated term for the locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Classic, old time material!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
