Stilbite

Moore's Station, Hopewell Township, Mercer Co., New Jersey

7.32cm x 5.6cm x 1.85cm

Ex. A. M. Hageman Collection

Ex. University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare, old time example of stilbite from this historic New Jersey locale!!! This specimen consists of a handsome cluster of stilbite crystals!!! The stilbite crystals are present as well formed, slightly divergent sprays of crystals that have sharp features and bright luster!!! The crystals are surprisingly lustrous and sharp in person!!! The crystals are in pristine condition with no damage whatsoever!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition - especially considering its age!!! Much better in person!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.M. Hageman Collection as well a label from the University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
