Stolzite Darwin, Darwin District, Inyo Co., California 2cm x 1.82cm x 1.68cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of stolzite from California!!! These specimens were initially thought to be scheelite crystals and were identified as such for decades!!! Although they were found in the late 1950's, it wasn't until relatively recently that they were determined to be some of the worlds finest stolzites!!! Today these specimens are scarce and seldom seen on the market!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, octahedral crystal of stolzite!!! The crystal has a lustrous, velveteen sheen on all of its faces!!! The crystal is undamaged and displays fantastically all around!!! Additionally, this specimen is quite fluorescent (blue/yellow)as well!!! Simply a fantastic example of this rare species from California!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
