Stolzite Darwin, Darwin District, Inyo Co., California 5.46cm x 4.5cm x 3.56cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of stolzite from California!!! These specimens were initially thought to be scheelite crystals and were identified as such for decades!!! Although they were found in the late 1950's and it wasn't until relatively recently that they were determined to be some of the worlds finest stolzites!!! Today these specimens are scarce and seldom seen on the market!!! This specimen hosts a particularly large crystal of stolzite in association with several other smaller crystals scattered about!!! The crystals exhibit a slightly distorted octahedral form characteristic of the locality!!! The main crystal measures well over 2.7cm!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently from numerous angles!!! This is one of the finest examples of this rare occurence I have seen in quite some time!!! Additionally, this specimen is quite fluorescent (blue/yellow)as well!!! Simply a magnificent example of this rare species from California!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
