Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of stolzite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts numerous complex crystals of colorless to reddish-coated crystals
of stolzite on a curious matrix that is comprised of a single mass of crystalline quartz!!! The stolzite crystals are close to colorless, and the reddish
color is due to a thin coating on their surface or, in some crystals, to reddish inclusions!!! There are more crystals than it appears in the pics because the
smallest, colorless ones are difficult to discern in the pics!!! There are also some tiny crystals in association
that, oddly, look superficially like siderites!!! The stolzite crystals
range in size to over 6mm - with the largest crystal being prominently perched and centered on the specimen!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!!
A very unusual and fine example of this rare Tsumeb species!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
