A superb example of stolzite from California!!! These specimens were initially thought to
be scheelite crystals and were identified as such for decades!!! Although they were found
in the late 1950's and it wasn't until relatively recently that they were determined to be
some of the worlds finest stolzites!!! Today these specimens are scarce and seldom seen on
the market!!! This specimen consists of a very large single crystal of stolzite with a few other smaller crystals
in proud association!!! We were lucky enough to acquire a small suite of these rare specimens and this specimen hosted the largest
single crystal of stolzite I have seen from this locality by far!!! The main crystal measures just under 3cm!!!
Simply a magnificent example of this rare species from California!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
