Strengite with minor Tavorite, Barbosalite, & Arsenopyrite Bull Moose Mine, Custer, Custer District, Custer Co., South Dakota 7.64cm x 6.26cm x 3.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of this rare phosphate from South Dakota!!! This specimen hosts a broad vug filled with sharp, lustrous, reddish pink crystals of strengite in association with tiny crystals of greenish tavorite!!! The most striking feature is a large, pristine, twinned strengite crystal that measures nearly 6mm prominently perched on the matrix!!! The twinning seems to have intensified the color and internal reflection, making it showy in person!!! There are numerous other sharp and pristine crystals scattered throughout the vug as well!!! This is a significant, and showy, example of the species indeed!!! There are other areas on the matrix as well that host smaller vugs lined with barbosalite and tavorite!!!
