An absolutely incredible example of this rare varietal of rutile from Madagascar!!! Struverite is essentially a tantalum rich variety of
rutile, similar to ilmenorutile!!! This specimen consists of an exceptionally large single crystal of struverite!!! The crystal has
broad, complex faces and a curious very slight metallic-appearing luster!!! Simply an exceptional example of this rare varietal!!! This specimen
retains old labels from the British Museum and the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences!!! The notation on the British Museum's label notes that it
was purchased from "Jensen & Nicholson in 1924"!!!
