Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely incredible example of this rare varietal of rutile from Madagascar!!! Struverite is essentially a tantalum rich variety of rutile, similar to ilmenorutile!!! This specimen consists of an exceptionally large single crystal of struverite!!! The crystal has broad, complex faces and a curious very slight metallic-appearing luster!!! Simply an exceptional example of this rare varietal!!! This specimen retains old labels from the British Museum and the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences!!!
