***Bringing you the very finest minerals ebay has to offer!!***
Sylvanite
Vindicator Mine, Cripple Creek District, Teller Co., Colorado
8.4cm x 6.2cm x 4.2cm
approx. 370 grams
Ex. Campbell Collection (circa 1905)
Ex. A.E. Seaman Mineralogical Museum
Description/Interesting Notes:
A rich example of sylvanite from this classic old Colorado locality!!! This specimen consists of a large main piece of sylvanite rich matrix in addition to a
box full of small pieces of the same specimen!!! This specimen hosts a very rich band that is full of microcrystalline sylvanite!!! The specimen has
an old affixed label and an affixed catalogue number from the Seaman Museum!!! The specimen is obviously quite unstable, but it can be
stabilized if so desired (I'd be happy to do this at bidder's request)!!! There is a lot of rich material here and most of the
sylvanite is submillimeter in size!!! The richest areas I would almost refer to as spongiform!!! The "dust" in the bottom of the box is quite sparkly with
sylvanite!!! There is over 370 grams of material here!!! The smaller sparkly specimens are nice in and of themselves!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
