Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely superb example of this rare gold bearing species from Fiji!!! This specimen consists of a
complex group of intersecting sylvanite crystals!!! This specimen is a complete floater with no point of attachment whatsoever!!! This
specimen is complete and undamaged!!! The crystals are doubly terminated and have sharp, brilliantly metallic faces!!! This
specimen is a KILLER!!! This specimen has been mounted on a black cork spire and acrylic base for maximum
displays, although it could easily be removed if so desired!!! In
person it displays like an elegant car hood-ornament!!! This specimen was originally acquired labelled as a calaverite but in the absence of
analysis I have chosen to simply label it as sylvanite, which most of these Fiji specimens are (it does have a slightly more yellowish-silver hue and there are
no areas of cleavage however) - regardless it is an extraordinary specimen in either case!!! Don't miss out on this valuable rarity!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 30th!!!
