A magnificent example of this rare gold and silver telluride from Cripple Creek!!! This specimen consists of a very rich example of sylvanite with
quartz!!! The sylvanite is present as fine, sharp crystals as well as grains, veins, and masses!!! The top and bottom of this thick
specimen host very rich bands
of fine-grained sylvanite!!! One of these bands could even best be described as almost "spongiform" sylvanite!!! The richness of the sylvanite cannot
be fully appreciated in these pictures - just about all the dark areas of this specimen host rich networks of sylvanite!!! This large specimen weighs
a hefty 663 grams!!! Curiously, there is some blue staining within some of areas of quartz!!! This specimen retains its original label from the Seaman Museum with
Sam Baugh notation!!! This specimen is WAY, WAY better than these pics show!!! A magnificent old time sylvanite specimen indeed!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
