Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of native gold with coloradoite and sylvanite from Colorado!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts numerous
significant inclusions of native gold with coloradoite and sylvanite!!! The specimen has been cut and polished to further display the richness of
the specimen!!! The native gold has a lively yellow hue which sharply contrasts with the silvery tones of
the coloradoite and sylvanite!!! Upon close inspection, one can see the difference in these two tellurides, especially in the polished areas!!! The
sylvanite has a more brilliant mirror-like silvery luster while the coloradoite is distinctivey darker in hue, almost resembling slightly oxidized
antique silver!!! When viewed with oblique lighting the three metallic species are sharply defined!!! There are significant showings of gold and
tellurides on every side of the specimen!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
