Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of tennantite after azurite with native silver from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a pair of well defined pseudomorphs of
tennantite after azurite that host an impressive array of mineral species on their faces!!! Well formed, aesthetic, displayable examples of
these rare pseudomorphs are exceedingly uncommon!!! The crystals host a number of species on their faces, including several submillimeter
green and blue-green species (likely cuproadamite, conichalcite, among others), as well as sharp, gemmy dolomite rhombs, and - most notably - numerous
masses of tin-white native silver scattered about with the largest most prominent area of native silver being perched at the termination of one of the
tennantite pseudomorphs!!! This specimen is AMAZING in person!!! Not only is it a striking, displayable example
of this rare Tsumenb pseudomorph - it has a
significant association with native silver as well as a colorful accents of rare associated species!!!
Upon inspection with a loupe or scope one can find
several unidentified species that are quite intruiging to say the least (material worth analyzing in my opinion)!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 14th!!!
