Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of tennantite with rare hinsdalite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex cluster of tennantite crystals after pyrite crystals that hosts a rich association with hinsdalite crystals as well as some quartz points!!! The tennantite crystals are sharp and lustrous and have replaced some complex pyrite crystals and there are still a few instances where the pyrite is only partially replaced!!! Even more exciting is a rich association with sharp, whitish crystals of hinsdalite to over 1.5mm!!! The crystals are very sharp, with textbook form and marked luster!!! The pictures simply cannot capture just how fantastic this specimen is in person!!! This specimen is from the collection of noted Butte scholar and collector Bob Jenkins and retains his original personal collection label!!! This specimen retains old Haas and Pequa labels as well!!!
