Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely phenomenal example of this rare pseudomorph from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of an impressively sized and aesthetic group
of azurite crystals that has been completely replaced by tennantite and accented by microcrystals of turquoise to sky blue colored langite
and posnjakite!!! These specimens are usually very decomposed and amorphous in their appearance, however this specimen is an unusually sharp and
well-defined example of this rare pseudomorph!!! In addition, it consists of a very attractive pairing of a large, elongated single crystal and
a spray of crystals leaning against it!!! The bluish accents of langite and posnjakite are much more pronounced in person!!! The pics
don't even begin to do this specimen justice - it is one of the best examples of these rare pseudomorphs that I have seen!!! There is some thinking
that these pseudos may indeed be tennantite after chalcocite, but I know of no definitive source that has determined this for certain - regardless, it is a fabulous
specimen!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
