Description/Interesting Notes: A superb example of this rare species from South Africa!!! This specimen hosts several pristine, undamaged crystals of tephroite in association with some tiny, pale crystals of rhodochrosite!!! The tephroite crystals consist of highly complex, etched crystals with brilliant glassy luster, gemmy clarity, and deep reddish brown color!!! The crystals range in size up to 1cm!!! This is a magnificent example of the species - the pictures don't even come close to capturing just how good it is!!! Simply incredible in person!!!
