Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of chalcopyrite-coated tetrahedrite from a new find in Peru!!! These specimens came from a recent small find in Peru that produced these uniquely showy specimens!!! This material is reminiscent of the classic examples of chalcopyrite on tetrahedrite from the Herodsfoot Mine in Cornwall!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of sharp slightly modified crystals of tetrahedrite that host a brilliant, golden coating of chalcopyrite!!! This specimen is intensely brilliant and showy in person, with glittering faces that flash dramatically at different angles!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Unique and unusual material indeed!!!
