Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of tetrahedrite from this historic German locale!!! This specimen hosts
several highly complex crystals of tetrahedrite in association with complex chalcopyrite crystals with
curiously dark coatings on a matrix of tiny quartz points!!! The tetrahedrite crystals have brilliant metallic luster and show
some highly complex, modified forms!!! Upon close inspection one can see many more smaller crystals tucked
in recesses in the quartz crystal matrix!!! This specimen retains old labels from the Michigan College of Mines (A.E. Seaman Mineral
Museum) as well as an old label from Dr. A. Krantz as well!!! This is OLD material!!! While Neudorf is
famous for its characteristic galena specimens, examples of other species are quite scarce indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
