Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible example of this rare and sought after species from Madagascar!!! Thortveitite is a very rare silicate of scandium - out of the four thousand plus mineral species there are just a few that contain scandium - and they are all very rare indeed!!! This specimen consists of a very significant crystal that has very sharp faces, brilliant glassy luster, and areas of marked clarity as well!!! Simply a killer example of this rare species!!!
