Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of tiemannite from Germany!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of the very rare mercury selenide, tiemannite!!! The tiemannite is present as several rich masses and scattered throughout the specimen as well!!! Upon close examination with a scope or loupe one can discern some tiny crystalline features as well!!! Rare, old material!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its original label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
