Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of topaz from Ireland!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of orthoclase, smoky quartz, and muscovite that hosts a prominent single crystal of gem topaz!!! The topaz crystal has a characteristic chisel-shaped termination and exhibits a bit of complex etching on the terminal faces!!! The crystal has glassy luster and bright, gemmy clarity!!! The crystal is complete and undamaged all around!!! The topaz crystal measures well over 8mm which is quite significant for the locality!!! This specimen retains an old label as well!!!
