Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of topaz from Brazil!!! We acquired this specimen floating around in an old collection of New England minerals - what a polished topaz from Brazil was doing in there I will never know - but it is a unique specimen nonetheless!!! The specimen actually has a pale blue color with a distinct smoky phantom present in the center!!! The specimen has obviously been polished, with a section being polished to a brilliant luster!!! As a result of the unique color zoning, the color of the specimen seems to change when viewed from various angles!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
