Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of torbernite from this seldom referenced French locale!!! This specimen
hosts a dense and colorful network of intergrown, bright green crystals of torbernite aesthetically
accented by bright yellow dewindite!!! The torbernite crystals are present as intergrown groups of
tabular crystals with bright green color, marked translucence, and pearly to glassy luster!!!
The dewindite is present as intense, canary yellow microcrystals and crusts that are
both exposed and intergrown with the torbernite as well!!! The crystals are very dense and
sturdy!!! This specimen is from the Sorbonne Museum in France and retains a museum
label as well!!! Older material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
