Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible, old time example of gem elbaite tourmaline from this classic locale!!! This specimen consists of a sharp,
glassy, GEM clear crystal of lively green elbaite tourmaline that measures an impressive 8.55cm long!!! The crystal
is complete and terminated!!! Despite some minor edge wear on the termination the specimen is in fantastic condition and displays
stunningly in person!!! The crystal has flawless, facet-grade GEM clarity throughout its entire length!!! One side of the
crystal has some minute tourmaline crystals scattered across its surface however the crystals are difficult to discern in the pics because they are
gem clear as well!!! This is simply a killer old time Connecticut tourmaline - the pics don't even come close to capturing just how
lively and showy this fine gem crystal is!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection
of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be
some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was
originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
