Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of tourmaline from this famed locality!!! This specimen consists of a sharp blade of cleavlandite that hosts an intensely colored rubellite tourmaline crystal in association with numerous small crystals of lepidolite!!! The tourmaline is glassy, gemmy, and exhibits characteristic rich red color!!! Although the crystal is not terminated, it displays quite strikingly on the sharp, glassy, cleavlandite crystal!!! The cleavlandite has marked clarity and exhibits sharply defined twinning when viewed on edge!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
