Tourmaline

Himalaya Mine, Gem Hill, Mesa Grande District, San Diego Co., California

2.16cm x 2cm x 1.5cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of tourmaline from this classic locale!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, brilliantly lustrous crystal of bicolor tourmaline in association with a small amount of matrix!!! The tourmaline crystal is doubly terminated, with a flat termination on top and a series of complex terminations on the bottom!!! The crystal has handsome pink color with a sharply defined light green cap!!! There is a second, smaller tourmaline crystal in association as well - this crystal is sharply terminated and is half pink on one side and half light yellow on the other!!! Classic material!!! Very bright luster!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 9th!!!
