An absolutely incredible example of tourmaline from South Dakota!!! These old time Keystone district tourmalines are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to obtain!!! In
addition to being a very rare locality specimen - this is the BEST example of South Dakota tourmaline I have ever seen!!! This specimen hosts several wonderfully gemmy
tourmaline crystals up to 3.5cm in a large, gemmy book of muscovite crystals!!! The tourmaline crystals have incredible, CHOICE blue green color (color that would be superb from ANY locality - let alone South Dakota)!!! The crystals are razor sharp and glassy!!! The largest crystal actually
has a second, slightly divergent crystal right next to it just under the surface of the muscovite!!! There are also numerous crystals completely embedded within the
muscovite as well!!! This is a significant and major specimen for the locality!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman
museum and retains its old label (with donor information) and its affixed catalogue number!!! The pics don't even come close to
doing it justice!!! A VERY rare find indeed - don't miss out!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
