Tourmaline Dunton Gem Quarry, Newry, Oxford Co., Maine 1.38cm x .8cm x .52cm Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this sought after gem species from Maine!!! This specimen consists of a single, lively gem crystal of tourmaline!!! This crystal has the characteristic minty blue-green color that make these classic beauties so distinctive!!! This crystal has glassy luster, gemmy clarity, and classic color!!! The termination is also quite characteristic, featuring complex faces and very steep angles!!! There is a small area on one side of the termination that appears to be almost fibrous in nature!!! The specimen is in terrific condition and the termination is complete!!! This crystal was acquired in a small collection of gem tourmaline crystals from the Wintringham collection!!!
