Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of trapiche ruby from Sri Lanka!!! This ruby crystal exhibits a rare "trapiche" habit (so named for the sprocket-like device used in the processing of sugar cane)!!! While trapiche ruby crystals are quite rare, they are even more so from Sri Lanka!!! The crystal has a rich pinkish red color with marked luster and translucence!!! The pics hardly capture just how intruiging it is in person!!! The specimen is in great condition and displays handsomely!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
