Tugtupite with Sphalerite and Unknowns Ilimaussaq complex, Narsaq, Kitaa (West Greenland) Province, Greenland 3.74cm x 2.87cm x 2.54cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely extraordinary example of tugtupite from Greenland!!! This specimen hosts some of the finest tugtupite I have ever seen!!! This specimen hosts a striking mass of intensely colored - CRYSTALLINE tugtupite!!! The tugtupite has wild cherry red color and marked clarity - this is literally as good as it gets!!! The tugtupite exhibits numerous small and complex crystalline faces and features!!! Of course the tugtupite fluoresces intensely under both SW and LW UV and also displays intense tenebrescence (yes, this specimen gets even MORE red than in the pics after exposure to UV)!!! In addition to this, there are several unidentified colorless crystals present in close association with the tugtupite as well as a small crystal filled vug in the matrix!!! The unknown crystals are highly complex, glassy, gemmy, and colorless and range in size to over 2mm (these crystals need to be seen in person to be fully appreciated, as they were next to impossible to capture with the camera)!!! There are also several yellow-brown crystals of sphalerite in association as well!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pictures show!!! In person this specimen will knock your socks off!!!
