Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of crystalline turquoise from Australia!!! While turquoise is widely known as a beautiful ornamental gemstone in its massive form, however actual crystals of turquoise are quite rare by comparison - occuring at just a few localities worldwide!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of lustrous, gemmy crystals of intensely colored blue turquiose on a darkly colored hematite matrix!!! The darkly colored matrix really sets off the color of the turquoise crystals nicely!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see that the crystals are quite well formed and in fantastic condition!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
