Turquoise New Mexico 3.8cm x 2.7cm x 2.5cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of turquoise from New Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of intensely colored, gem grade turquoise!!! While New Mexican turquoise is scarce today, for a short time in the late 19th century Los Cerillos was the world's largest source of gem turquoise!!! However, by the early 1900's the locality was all but exhausted!!! This is old material that likely dates to New Mexico's early turquoise boom days!!! The turquoise is hard, dense, and has gorgeous color!! The turquoise vein appears to run all the way through the specimen!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
