Turquoise Kingman, Mohave Co., Arizona 11.34cm x 8.9cm x 3.66cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of turquoise from this famed Arizona locale!!! This specimen consists of a large, rich mass of lapidary-grade gem turquoise in association with some quartz!!! This specimen came from an old cache of gem-grade Kingman turquoise that dates to the 1950's!!! This material is totally natural and has not been stabilized or treated in any way!!! The material has magnificent color throughout and is very hard and dense!!! There are some small areas where one can see that the turquoise came into contact with actual quartz crystal faces, leaving behind tiny areas with sharp, lustrous features!!! There are also some unidentified sulphides present as well (present as darkly colored masses)!!! This material is simply gorgeous in person!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
