Uchucchacuaite Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru 3.66cm x 1.11cm x .82cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A very rare example of this highly sought after silver-bearing species from the type locality!!! This specimen hosts several metallic grains of silvery uchucchacuaite in matrix!!! There is one prominent grain of silvery metallic uchucchacuaite in addition to numerous tiny masses scattered throughout the specimen!!! In addition to the masses of uchucchacuaite, there appear to be some scattered submillimeter prismatic crystals embedded in the matrix!!! Confirmed examples of uchucchacuaiteare extremely rare, and a friend of ours made a very small find of this material (one small nodule of old material) last year and we were fortunate enough to acquire one of some when we saw him in Tucson this year!!!
